Hello, and welcome, it's time to introduce the Community Mental Health Champions website to you.

Promoting positive mental health culture is finally beginning to find its place in the world. As more and more individuals gain qualifications, such as First Aid for Mental Health, we wanted to create a single forum for people to come together and help to support their local communities.
So why do this?
We all all unique, yet we share a common goal. To promote a positive mental health culture at work, through education, and now hopefully into the wider community.
Positive mental health includes: feeling in control of your life and personal decisions, being able to cope with life's challenges and stresses, functioning well mentally, being able to focus while at work and being generally optimistic about life events.
Organisations are beginning to understand the importance of this within the workplace, but promoting positive mental health shouldn't be a 9-to-5 thing. By creating a group of like-minded individuals who are passionate about positive mental health we hope to be able to go beyond the workplace and provide a benefit to all of our local communities.
Who are we?
Our backgrounds include first-aid for mental health instructors, first-aid for mental health champions, mental health advocates and academics. We got collectively to be able to provide a single resource for information about mental health, and provide useful tips about starting supportive conversations.
Each of us will be posting the latest first aid for mental health news, writing opinion pieces, and adding to library of resource sheets. We are constantly looking for others to contribute to the Community Mental Health Champions website and have some surprising guest author lined up to tell their stories.
What can you do?
Be original, show off your personality, and tell your story.
This isn't about us, this is a website dedicated to those who want to go beyond the workplace and use their skills to better their community. We encourage anybody who has an interest in first-aid for mental health to get in contact, you can write a blog article, offer an opinion, or simply send us an image that makes you smile.
Go wild with original blog posts about recent projects, cool inspirational ideas, or what your company culture is like. Add images, and videos to really spice it up, and pepper it with slang. No matter what who you are, one thing is for sure - blogging gives you the opportunity to be heard in a way that is different and unconventional.
Our goal
Ultimately we are looking to bring together the best mental health resources, along with some inspiring stories. Hopefully that will encourage everybody who is involved in first aid for mental health to get involved. And, as things progress throughout 2024, we are looking to arrange community mental health champions events in your community, these are designed to raise awareness and bring people together.
Have an idea? Want to get involved? Please contact us below and someone will get back to you soon.
